Dr. Jennifer Walden’s Background in Medicine

Dr. Jennifer Walden, an award-winning plastic surgeon based in Austin, TX, is one of the premier practicing plastic surgeons in the country. Dr.Jennifer  Walden received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas, then went on to become salutatorian of her class after graduating from medical school at University of Texas Medical Branch.

Dr. Walden realized she wanted a career in cosmetic surgery during her rotations in medical school. After her residency, Dr. Walden received a prestigious fellowship in aesthetic surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York. The Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship Program gave Dr. Walden the opportunity to work under the mentorship of Dr. Sherrell Aston, a world-renowned plastic surgeon. During her fellowship, Dr. Walden cultivated what would become her specialties in breast lifts and augmentation, as well as facial procedures, specifically rhinoplasty. One of Dr. Walden’s projects during her fellowship was working in clinical trials that eventually led to the reintroduction of silicone breast implants for breast augmentation procedures.

After spending almost eight years at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, Dr. Walden returned to Austin, TX to open her own private practice, the Walden Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center.

Dr. Walden specializes not only in surgical procedures, but her laser center also offers non-invasive procedures. For example, vaginal rejuvenation procedures, fat elimination and body sculpting, and facial peels are all offered by Dr. Walden through non-surgical means.

Dr. Walden is a board-certified surgeon and a member of the Modern Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery Practice’s Editorial Board of Directors. In 2015, Dr. Walden was named one of the best plastic surgeons in America by American Way magazine. Dr. Walden is the Commissioner of Communications for the the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is also a member of the invite-only American Association of Plastic Surgeons.
